Lobuche Peak Summit Climb Highlight
Lobuche East is one of the more difficult trekking peaks. And only a few climbers reach the main summit. There are lots of exciting ice and mixed routes. Particularly on the East Face, but only two recorded ascents on the west side of the summit. The Southeast Ridge is the most famous route, graded as PD+ on the Alpine Grading system.
From Lobuche Base Camp at approximately 15,740 ft. It’s an about 3-hour slog following a well-outlined trail up to the high camp. Alongside a hidden lake at approximately 16, 500ft.
From the high camp, the route continues up. A series of slabs of increasing steepness to give access to the proper Southeast Ridge. These slabs are most of the time covered by ice/snow. So care is needed here. And you should probably be roped at this stage. About 50m furthermore from the main ridge the end of the slab. And you are now faced with a vertical 45-degree snow wall to ascend onto another ridge. There may be fixed rope here if other parties are ascending always add us plus point.

today, we make the trek to high camp. it’s about 4hours trekking. the rocky moraine path leads you until to reach high camp. upon reaching the high camp we set up our camp and take lunch after lunch we learn the basic idea of climbing knowledge with the Sherpa guide. he will teach us all the necessary things we must have to use during climbing.

Early morning 2 am wakeup call is tough, but it will allow us to attain the peak just as the sun is rising, showing off the dramatic structure with panoramic views of the Himalayas backlit by the brilliant rays of dawn.
