Why Rolwaling Tasilapcha trek is Hard?
Until1985 Rolwaling Tasi Lapcha trek is not open for the traveler. We did not get straight from the ministry, but at that time the border region was entirely off-limits to foreigners.
The beauty of alpine nature and also the ample opportunities to climb Pachhermo peak. This trek is getting highlights. This was a too great relief to our guide who said he would love to go anyway, too dangerous. So we need a local perfect team. Here is what our expert guide said “(the guide we need, with climbing experience. Tashi Lapcha is dangerous because of constant rock and icefall. When the slope melts in the morning sun, for that reason it must be climbed as early as possible to pass. I.e. preferably before sunup also trek is naturally high pass 5755m.
Now there are services in Rolwaling valley, so food & tea house until Tso Rolpa Lake. Now a day’s even in Tso Rolpa Lake there is a Tea shop and a small Bed house. But there is no kind of tea house and shop at the east end of Tasilapcha. So, food and camping gear must be carried for several days (week?). According to your preferences.
Have you tried to front-point a steep slope with rope at 5600m with 20kg on your back?
Not when you need the perfect local guide and porter otherwise experienced guide team. Also, your guide and porter clothes and the insurances are most important. We must have to care up to the Tsorolpa glaciers lake. Rolwaling is a restricted declared area so to trek there (at least to go over Trashi Labtsa) you need a compulsory trekking permit and a guide from an agency. As most groups do climb Parchamo also, as it is quite easy from the pass, peak permit is slapped on automatically Nepal Government. Now you also need to take into account the fact that the route is quite tricky at the eastern end and there are no services available until to reach Thame Everest. So the Early phrase is demanding bellow the pass and around the Tso Rolpa lake. We may need to fix the rope to crass Glaciers and climbing. We have to acclimatize with high altitude otherwise trek would difficult.
